I have been rather quiet on the journal lately, other than to update everyone when my son was recovering from surgery and in the hospital

Actually, I am rather enjoying it. That's what I meant by that line that I seem to disagree. It seems to me, from the review I've read the last couple of weeks, that I might be in a minority there. But I'm ok with that. I accept that everyone has their different views and I completely respect that. I would just hate to lose any friends because I like it while they find so many things they don't like about it.
BTW, did you ever find that video that your computer lost of Andrew's first food?
I (obviously) haven't been on LJ in awhile so I'm not really aware of what most people think of the new season but I personally am loving it so far. I thought I'd hate Eleven, but I don't. I actually enjoy him a lot. And Amy? Amy is made win.
I think everything feels so young and fresh and light this season, and it's nice to have that. Don't get me wrong, I love Ten--he's my Doctor, will always be--but I'm so glad that a lot of that dark, moodiness is gone for the most part (yeah, some of it's still there, but Eleven is a lot lighter to me).
I agree. I love Ten, and Nine, but I'm really enjoying Eleven. ANd I might be one of the only ones, but I love the new Tardis interior. I think it's kind of cool.
Oooo! I love the new interior! And the opening sequence. Not fond of the new theme song, or the new logo, but I love the clouds and the lightning strikes.
But I still think the Vortex looks like the Doctor getting a colonoscopy (or however you spell it).
Oh, goodness. Now I'm going to be thinking that same thing next time we watch. LOL!
Also, I do agree that it's a bit rushed. I hadn't noticed it in the first episode, only got an inkling of that feeling in the second episode, but the third...someone mentioned to me that it's the relationship between Amy and Eleven. It's like they know each other better than they should at this point. I'm starting to think that's what it is (for me anyway), though I'm figuring part of that (on Amy's part) is that she's known him since she was just a little girl (even if part of that knowing was in her imagination). Still...I'd like to see a little more development between the two of them (as friends, I don't ship them in the least).
It's not that I dislike the new series so far - it's just that I think Moffat could have done better. It feels...rushed? And like he's trying too hard, like he's trying to prove himself, which he doesn't need to do.
Also, I'm finding it very easy to poke fun at it, which is entertaining me no end.
I did find the video, today. For some reason, the file was saved with my pictures, not with my videos. Stupid Computer is attempting to outsmart me, and apparently did a good job of it, much to my dismay. I'll try to have it up by tomorrow.
See, now I have to know. Is it that you like it, or that you hate it? I am totally accepting of either, and everything in between.
