I am motivated this morning.  I have two(!) fics in progress at the moment, and I actually want to spend the next hour or so working on them.  Last November I said that I wanted to have the Christmas entry of Lady Jaye's journal up by Christmas.  It was a stretch at that point, since I had about nine chapters to write.  Well, here it is a year ( Read more... )

LOL! Again we didn't review the House episode in exactly the same light. I rather liked it. Lots of great lines (and a motorcycle scene that had me all shivery). I was annoyed with the Foreman thing (is he or isn't he???) though...totally agree.

I haven't started watching Bones yet...it never really grabbed me.

I knew you would like the motorcycle scene. I didn't think it was a bad episode. I just wasn't as thrilled after it like I was the previous two eps. And also, a 'meh' House episode is still pretty darn good in my book.

Like the motorcycle scene? Nay...LOVED the motorcycle scene. Yeah it was shippy, but mostly cause biker-house is hot :)

I second that: Bones was great last night. I'll have to post my review tonight, but I really enjoyed the show. I absolutely loved Jack and Zack last night, and Angela was fab. And I'm so happy that Goodman has been in more and more shows. I really like him.

btw: Did you catch the Firefly reference in Bones? I *want* one of Zack's robots. LOL

Yes I did! They totally seem the type to be watching Firefly :)

I want one of those robots too. I loved the opening sequence with Zack trying to get it to work right.

Well, I think you'd have to compete against for the worst long series writer award... there's one fic on my harddrive and that I've been working on for five years (!!), with all the sequels in mind... *sigh*

I have you beat. It's officially been seven and a half years since I started the Excalibur/Buffy crossover of doom.

Okay... you win :). Good to know I'm not alone in that department.

Nicole and I started Hits of the Year way back in February of 2000. At the time we came up with a trilogy, and laughed how we'd be writing it for a few years. Well, a few years have passed and we are no further along on Hits, nevermind its siblings.

I'm catching up to you. You've been my measuring stick for how I've been doing with the fanfic100 challenge. "Whew, Amy's got 13 done, I'd better get writing!" I'd say. Of course, the number hasn't changed in a while...*hem* and now I'm up to nine. Obviously any NON fanfic100 is quite acceptable also, especially the journal. I love that. And Christmas. Purr.

{hands head in shame} I know. Each time I log on to LJ and see my table with the same two numbers on it, I cringe. That number will change, hopefully in the very near future :)

I have an unnatural phobia of writing long fics. I think it is fear of never finishing, but I'm not 100% sure about that. :-) So I just drabble or write one-shots. I wish I could write longer stories though...maybe that is a good goal for the New Year?

Hope you got lots accomplished! :-)

I did get a good bit accomplished.

When I first entered fanfiction, I never heard of a drabble. I also wasn't familiar with the term 'one-shot'. I just figured every story had to be a multi-chapter epic. I now fully appreciate the drabble and quick one-shot. Sometimes you just want fic in small doses.

I'll make you a deal you make a New Year's resolution to write longer stories, and I'll make one to write SHORTER stories :)
