Just heard from Ct. Jury still out. Haven’t even asked for a break. I have no idea what that means, but I hope it means they’ve rejected not guilty and are struggling with the kidnapping charge (or maybe sexual assault since it’s not clear which bad guy did that one). Could mean they are hung. Ugh. I am so preoccupied.

Listened to the closings ( Read more... )

I'll worry with you for a while, if it'll help.

Can't afford any cons this year. With all the expense of house repairs, I haven't been this broke in years. At least I will have a nice finished basement again.

I was very happy with my nice finished garage a few years back. I called it my vacation spot that year.

I have decided to leave and go do...something. Dog park maybe.

Thanks.

{{hugs}} Not sure what else to say, except that you're in my thoughts.

And I'm going to Leaky.

Thanks. I was thinking about you actually. I've done some defense and my Sis was a PD for 10 years. Dad was a DA and then a judge. I was shocked by things the PD was saying (for example, he called a neutral witness a racist even though everyone involved in this case is white and the man had not said what the PD claimed...and I mean not at all) but I couldn't say for sure. My Sis said his closing was shameful and my Dad also thought so.There was way more. I'm just wondering, have things changed a lot so much since they were doing crim law? Is this sort of thing common and acceptable? I mean, we're all bleeding heart liberals in my family and we really shocked. He called the DA a liar, went on for some time about the audacity of cross examining witnesses (not saying he was mean, which he wasn't, but rather that merely asking questions was an abuse of state power. He compared reasonable doubt to the decision to pull the plug on a dying family member...on and on. I was dumbfounded.

Yes ... Leaky is just miles from The Manor, we'll be there, and perhaps the snakes may pay a visit too. This is great, you coming to our area in May and us to yours in July!

Of course we will, the hotel is merely 13 miles away, though we have a room to save on the hassle of travel and make it seem like the holiday it is.

Good. I think I will be staying with Droxy and Juni. I will also be making cocktails.
