Whee. This one's more of a for me post than anything. For some reason, it always helps me to write things down and just think them out, but i've never liked the paper medium. I suppose I could do this with vi or something, but I like having access to what I write wherever I am, and I usually have a way to get online, somehow ( Read more... )

As debt goes, credit card debt is likely the meanest. Remember that currently, you're not paying for rent, and your food costs are largely covered by family. You're not currently in school, and you're currently working full time (I think).

The debt shouldn't take you that long to tackle, but don't budget yourself into the ground, goodies like the scanner, or a monthly manga budget or something is quite acceptable, as long as it's a controlled spending, and not a large amount of impulse buying/splurging.

Take a look at investing a small amount into a retirement plan now, there's plenty of tips on the internet on what to look for and consider, and I believe the federal government provides information as well. By paying little amounts monthly now, you can have tons for later, and barely notice the payments.
