For the last day of my long weekend, i went for a bike ride. I zoomed out along the river to Bali and paddled my feet in the sea at the secret beach behind the shipping port, nibbling on 芋仔冰 taro icecream, 甘蔗汁 cane juice, 仙草 grass jelly and a 自助餐便當 buffet bento lunch featuring various greens and tofus on rice. Mm, I'd like those greens and olives. Never had taramosalata, will have to keep my eye out for it. Weird that the food wasn't seasoned, feels so simple to add lemon and salt!

To be honest, the food in Greece probably was seasoned to some degree of seasonedness, just much less so than what i am used to after living in Asia for a while, or even how they served stuff in Macedonia. Most places did provide salt and pepper on the table, and some gave lemon wedges and olive oil too, so perhaps they expect people to season it to their own tastes? I grew up being taught never to add salt to anything after it left the kitchen, so i often feel like i'm being an ass if i use the shaker on the table.
