I'm on a boat! Well, a ferry. A proper roro ferry where you can go upstairs and there is even a little snack bar inside. Everyone i spoke to in the hostel took water taxis to and from the mainland, which admittedly are much faster and only a little more expensive, but they don't seem as fun to me, sitting in a little boat just zooming over to shore

Do not underestimate (or for that matter, overestimate) the power your height gives you. The number of times I've hear people, both male and female say "I don't get why other people are so scared, I've never had any trouble!" or "I adore wild camping, it's never been problematic, why don't you try it too?" And you sigh inwardly and think, yeah... you're 6ft, wanna hear of all the times I've been assaulted? Wanna hear of when someone actually tried to murder me? And yes, I tried wild camping and STILL got harassed

I'm all about the ferries... being in Seattle and all.
