Nope, never done it! A friend of mine traveled a few legs on her Big Europe Trip that way and said it was great. I might consider it once I dump my other bag of stuff at dad's place. I am such a bourgeois libertarian travel bum that I loathe the idea of being beholden to someone else's schedule, but perhaps it would do me good to give up a bit of control sometimes.
