i am confused

So I just rewatched INLAND EMPIRE via netflix streaming, and one of the key phrases I noted in my lj entry after watching it in the theater the first time -- "you can lead a horse to the well but you can't make it drink" -- was nowhere to be found. Did I just imagine it? Or did Lynch edit the movie before it was released on DVD? Maybe he thought ( Read more... )

ROTFL!! You have no idea how much I'm laughing right now. One, Nin and I just had a long fic related Tony discussion, and two, I'm remembering how I moaned about her making me go see another comic book movie. Oh, if I only knew. Also related, someone recced my very first IM fic a few days back, and I was reading the comments on that first, and you and me are denying we might actually be hooked [g]

What you say about David Lynch's films - maybe he's working with expressing how we really remember/experience things, rather than how books/movies portray it, because in reality humans don't have a neat linear experience
