My poor kitty, Vlad, has gone missing. We think he was stolen. Today has been a shitty day.  Watari, the uber bitch kitty, has actually been all lovey today, but I just keep looking at her thinking "man, why wasn't it you?" I'm a bad kitty parent.

We've had him for 8 years, but got him from a shelter, so we figure he's about 10. We do have a lot of pets, but he's definitely my special favorite. He has the best purr ever.

We have 6 cats, a rat, and a recently acquired dog that my dad was going to shoot. Vlad was rescued straight from a shelter in California, all the others were strays. The rat was from someone who was going to make her snake food.

Don't worry about what you're thinking in the crisis. When I had to put my daughter's cat down last week (on her 25th birthday!) I found myself thinking "well, it will be easier to travel now"

I know. I just felt guilty about it. I'm still holding hope that the reward we've offered for him will be enough to get them to change their mind about keeping him if he was taken, or enough to make people look for him extra hard.

I do hope he wasn't stolen and only just missing. In either case, don't give up on him. Last summer Squinky (the most stupid, but lovable cat ever) let herself out the door and promptly got lost. Mathew looked for her daily for weeks and finally, very reluctantly gave up. Three months later the vet two towns over called and told us someone had found her wandering around downtown.

Two months ago, Cicero (prone to spastic freak attacks because OMG someone moved that shoe!!!!!!1!) somehow found his way out and bolted when he saw my mother. He was gone for 5 weeks, we stopped looking on week three thinking he had wandered away and hoping someone would find him. Found him under the house next door where he appears to have been the whole time without even coming out to eat. Only found him because in a state of delirium he poked his head out and started crying. :/

I have dumb cats. Hopefully yours is smarter and will find his way home.

See, Vlad is like uber smart wonder kitty. Plus, he's kind of old. He doesn't usually follow the kids on their walks to the convienence store, but he did that day. And the kids were accosted by two men in a van asking to buy the cat. The kids said no, the van drove off, and the kids went on their merry little way. Vlad stopped and hung out at a church and that's the last he was seen.
It rained today and if he was anywhere he would have headed for home cause he hates to be wet.
I have contacted every pound, shelter, pet store, and vet in the area to let them know about the missing micro chipped cat. And I've papered the town with fliers. I'm just hoping, if he was taken, he's being well taken care of.
It's the not liking my kids or the other pets too much that's really pissing me off. I hate that I'm so blamey towards them all. And the crying...god, I'm just really sick of me crying.

ow. searching for simstories i found this post.. i'm so sorry for you & Vlad. *big hug* did he turn up meanwhile?

i know it's terrible, it happened to me with 3 of my toms.. 1 i found 10 weeks later, 1 got lost 2x and was once found through flyer/neighbors (i always put flyers on all walls in the nhood, call shelters, ask people etc) - the 2nd time he came back alone 6 weeks later. and the third meoow (who went away first), well.. MIA for years T_T. i got a depression from that event ~

i hope you both will soon be back together. srsly, fuck separations from guys - i never missed an ex as much as my meoow.
