You guys know how laudanum is booze and opium, right?
I dunno why, but the thought of Alexander caring for poor Daniel if he ever, um, overdoses a bit, is really freaking adorable. :D
(And then there's what happens in bed because Daniel is too doped up to have any idea what he's saying. XD)

Plus points if by candlelight~!

Not OP (again), but waking up to find this updated is the best way to wake up :3 I love Derpy Daniel too, Authornon, and you write it so well. Huge fan of Alexander manhandling a very pliant Daniel, also. Nghhh. Setting up camp right here, hope you don't mind :D

Anyway, this is the OP-- I was actually giving up on EVER seeing this filled, and then I ran by the page for one last shot and HUZZAH, you came along!

Let me say it now, this is awesome. Please continue writing, I love it so much-- derpy!Daniel always has a special place in our hearts, I think. XD

Alexander returned an hour later with a bottle of clear liquid and brass bed pan. To his surprise, Daniel was nowhere to be found. The blankets and sheets were a crumpled mess, but he wasn't hiding in them as the baron first thought. Nor was he hiding in the cupboards down the hall. That left one more place that Daniel could be hiding in, the cupboard in his bedroom, and Alexander could only hope that he was in there. He really didn't feel like undergoing a search and rescue mission in his nightshirt. With a sigh he set the items on the dresser by the bed and opened the creaking cupboard doors. Sure enough, there was Daniel, huddled in the corner with his cheek pressed against the side, fast asleep. The roll of the baron's eyes belied the brief smile on his face.
