Pizza recommendations from the Soup Nazi

Just got this email from my wonderful friend, Larry Thomas (he played the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld), in response to my plea for pizza recommendations in NYC:

Oh, I envy you so! In Midtown Manhattan and the Villiage there is John's Pizza. It's more of a restaurant than a slice joint but it's the best tasting in town. Just look in the phone book

John's in the village is very good. Probably my favorite in Manhattan. I still like Grimaldi's in Brooklyn, though. Frank Sinatra used to have Grimaldi's pizza frozen and shipped to LA. And there's the great walk over the bridge and view along the east river.
