They’d been sleeping together for two weeks when Sheppard arrived at McKay’s quarters and thought the doors open, the same as he had every other door in Atlantis for the past three years. He cracked his forehead, hard, when they refused. The Wraith weren’t invading, nobody was being shot at or mutated or kidnapped; it was really just a minor annoyance. Note to self: please to not be reading this when at work, because hysterical giggling makes my co-workers think I'm nuts (more nuts).

That is so unbearably cute. Atlantis jealous! Though I have to admit, the side effect is cuddling in the cold, which is never bad.

Thanks! There was an earlier version where Rodney went into a fully fledged, insecure fit of strop, but it all seemed a bit irrational given that Atlantis would really struggle to compete - being a city n all. Regardless of the number of, uh, spires. And docking hangars.

*flails* Outside of John/Rodney, John/Atlantis is so TOTALLY my OTP. I have a whole folder of Atlantis-Loves-John stories, and this one fits in just oh so nicely!!! *saves to favorites* LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

Wow, this feedback thing could get pretty addictive!! Thanks! My housemates are wondering what exactly it is that I get up to in my room that makes me bounce around the house grinning.

I've got a soft spot for John/Atlantis too, and it amuses me to wonder how far Atlantis would have to go to get him to actually notice - it's not like she can walk into his room and strip off, so this was my thoughts on an equivalent.

Thanks for friending me - does this mean I'm expected to post more fic?

Thanks! I feel a bit bad for Atlantis, Sheppard is perfect for her and she's doomed to lose out to those pesky *people*. People with the *squeltchy* parts. What's wrong with a nice mental interface, eh?

Excellent pacing, dialog and description. Very nicely thought out piece and Sentient!Atlantis is always fun.
