Doctor Who Announcement (and me gloating)

This is me doing something far more publicly than I usually do: gloating and mocking.

I watched Confidential today and meh... all I can say is I am very glad I am not so invested in this show anymore or I would be WAY disappointed. Too young and way too Tennant like in my humble (worth nothing at all) opinion ;)

Yes, it was. But it wasn't gloating or mocking!

Oh, this should be fun. I can't wait to see what the new guy can do. I want to see the bits where nobody takes him seriously because he appears to be so young. You KNOW it has to be there somewhere! :-)

(I do reserve the right to call him a puppy from time to time, if he strikes me as just awfully young. I think once you're over 40 you're allowed to do that. But understand I do not mean anything disparaging by it, it's just a descriptor.)

I wonder if the earliness of the announcement is due to concern about whether DT will be able to fulfill his commitment to the specials given his recovery from back surgery.

As he returned to Hamlet, I think he'll be okay to work, but I'm sure that they made the announcement so early to get some positive press after the wealth of speculation about Tennant's health.

I had no idea he'd been able to return to Hamlet at all. Wow. I know any back issues are just SO limiting and unpredictable.

But the health issue being an impetus for the announcement makes sense.

He returned to the role the day I left England. Timing is a wonderful thing...
