My heart still hasn't quite caught up with my head.

We've all been crying all night.

I've barely even teared up through this whole thing. But the "President-Elect Obama"...that got me.

My heart and my head BOTH still feel behind. I'm just kind of stunned. Happy, definitely, but stunned. I think that mtgat has made the best post of the night (not that I'm surprised!).

Hope. This is hope. It's been so long I barely recognize it.

I keep bursting into tears at random moments. People in my building are running up and down the stairwell screaming with joy. And somewhere, outside, someone is shooting off bottle rocket after bottle rocket into the intersection.
