I love the team dynamic overall. Toshi = god. The best thing to me about TW was watching Jack struggle to be a leader (but then, Jack would be fascinating just brushing his teeth, so...) and I'm rather fond of the Ianto/Jack thing.
TW is dreadful but I love it. It made me howl with laughter and a few times it did make me cry.
Feel the same way about DW. It's just so...cheesy sometimes but it's kind of my happy place and I love it love it.
Also, I'm watching through Tom Baker's first ep, "Robot" *Beams*
Gwen should be a better character than she is. I'd like to see her with Rhys just because it would be a refreshing change from the usual thing with characters like that. God forbid the spy chick actually has a nice guy at home waiting for her. I like the Jack-Gwen friendship but DO NOT WANT Jack/Gwen. (Remarkable, a character exists that I can't imagine pairing Jack off with! *g* Well, no Jack/Owen either. Gah.)
TW is cheesetastic.
DW is cheesetastic but a much better show than TW and DW makes my chest ache and my eyes well up or I'm laughing so hard I'm doubled over. It's that wonderful, even if the plots are crap and RTD isn't always smoking the good stuff.
Indeed. And I find the actress just likeable and did in "The Unquiet Dead" as well.
I just wish that Rhys could know more than he knows so that Gwen would need to do less lying and he would understand why she couldn't talk about specifics. Rhys is a sweetie, and he deserves, imo, better than the tiny bit Gwen has left over to give him.
I agree re: really liking the Jack and Gwen friendship.
I just HATE the writing on TW and the lack of endings to eps and so often the lack of POINTS to the eps and the "plots" and the "character development" of those eps.

And...couldn't Owen DIE a terrible death?
