A quick SCBWI post
SCBWI MD/DE/WV was absolutely wonderful! Had a great time, and it looks like next year it might be VERY close to me! Hoping to do some volunteering there and become more active. There was so much good advice, but the most memorable came when a panel of editors was talking about items they'd received in with query letters. The list included

But yea, I'm wondering too if there' some cultural writing reference with goggles. Weird.
But yes, it DOES help you! Because at least no editor will ever associate your name with these horror stories. :)
