In my quest for the January 2008 issue of "The Lion and Unicorn," I have found myself slowed, but not thwarted, by a very messy present from a sick greyhound and an AT-AT walker attack. Is this the fate of most grad students or is it just me?

I do not have any Star Wars action figures attacking me (I stowed my husband's collection in the closet) but I get attacked by a lot of Hannah Montana stuff, like tiny guitars and lipstick, or my daughter wanting me to untangle her Hannah Montana wig while I'm trying to read for grad school. My Evil Empire is Disney Corp.

Hm, I'm not sure which is worse, the Galactic Empire or Disney. That's a tough one. Wonder who'd win if they duked it out....
