Just had an amazing time at ChLA with a lot of Hollins folk and other friends from the Children's Lit world. I presented my paper on Anne Lindbergh's "Three Lives to Live" (more specifically, the use of food and eating and dining as a reflection of the plot and character issues). In a few hours, I'll be heading to Roanoke for graduation. Wow. Wow, what a week. Everything went great, no major problems at all. I was able to get up and make it to the 8:30 sessions every day and I believe I met everyone who was presenting in CYA. I am planning on returning to Hollins yet again this summer. While I don't need any more classes, I thought it would be fun to be on campus to work on (and hopefully finish!) my thesis.
