Library and Dragons (but not at the same time)

Today was my second work-day after the holiday, but my first at the front desk. Yesterday, I was reshelving books. I did two fiction carts, because I think they're the easiest. (Non-fiction isn't too bad, but I hate kids' carts and their hundreds of little picture books that won't fit on the shelf). People usually stop to ask me questions while ( Read more... )

I agree fiction is much easier to shelf than non-fiction - especially when they have a dozen numbers after the decimal point. Shelving wasn't anything I enjoyed, I must admit.

Pretties hatchies. I'm sorry you didn't get any of the holiday eggs :-( They are still dropping occasionally on the AP. If you don't get any, next year assuming mine breed you'll be more than welcome to one, two even.

Whoa, I just got a flash back from working in the college Library. Yes, reshelving sucks and I personally had issues with people who took books and just left them randomly around the library like we were their mothers who were going to pick up after them. Finding books to read while reshelving though is great fun. Secretly, I would sometimes take 5 minutes to sit in the asile and read, just to see if I would enjoy it. I found some crazy stuff at our school. There was like this whole section about a wild boy of New Jersey.

Awww a wee dragon! Where do you get these things?

I try not to stop and read the books. We're always backed up with books that need to be reshelved, and I like to get it done quickly.

The dragons are a sort of game(?)- anyway, it's a site where you adopt little eggs, and they hatch and grow up, and then they can have little eggs on their own. Two of my friends here got me into it. If you click on the dragons in my post, then the 'Dragon Cave' header, you can make your own scroll and adopt some dragons.
