Levi had crouched to examine a carving low on the temple wall, just as Jason started walking toward him, and he tumbled over the surprised sociologist’s back. Jason hit the equipment cart, knocking it into the rickety table, which jostled the round map container onto the floor right where Toby was putting his foot down, and it slid out from under him.
There was a beat of silence, then Toby groaned, “What the…?”
“Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk,” said Gryff.
They all burst out laughing, and she moved to help her team up again.
