The Smallville episode, not the Doctor Who one.
I just watched it, and I have decided to post my thoughts here.

Smallville, known for its ability to pull any season out of the toilet with an amazing finale, has reached a FAIL of epic proportions.

Thanks for the extensive rundown. Not having seen it, it was nice to read through this list. It does seem to have been epic and spectacular phail. I liked the two episodes leading up to it, and can't quite figure out how they could screw up so massively.

It does seem like the writers got bored and just went "oh, let's stick any old slop together for the finale. The fans will love the epicness of it all"

My suspicion is that they actually killed off Nois in the original script, but realised that they didn't have the stones for it, so they rewrote it to off Jimmy. Poor Aaron Ashmore- he didn't deserve that.
