Eating again! (Sam update, memes and more)

Sam is slowly appearing to recover...today he's eaten more than he's eaten in like a week. I'm so happy my baby is getting better! Granted, he eats small portions at a time, which is fine - don't want to overwhelm the stomach with too much too soon - but he is eating, which is a whole lot better than not. So the medicine appears to be doing well.

Sam's recovery is great. Yeah, they don't like taking medicine at all. It sounds like you had a good day with your family. I had to laugh about you bonding with your nephew over vomit stories. That sounds like something my nephew and I would do back when he was a kid. 2015 will be awesome because we said so! ;)

Sam isn't too bad about pills - usually I can get away with mashing them up in canned food and tricking him that way - but since he's been too sick to eat his stomach's shrunken and his appetite's not back to normal, so syringe is the way to go for the time being

I'm so glad Sam seems to be doing better. My mom did say tonight that she saw him try to use the litter box, and she wasn't sure if he was going to pee or poop, but he tried and nothing came out and he let out a little noise of discomfort when he did. So I wonder if it's because the poop that's still in there is all dry and hard (what the vet said when they did the x-rays) and that's what's making it painful for him...the vet said his urinary appears otherwise normal, going by the testing results.

I have to call the vet tomorrow anyway, as I just got paid and I have enough to have one, maybe two, cats fixed so I want that set up as I have some upcoming days off to do it.
