The world truly was a different place back then. At least on the surface. Society as a whole was really good at hiding all the nastiness when it came to most things...

Thing is, in the roughly 3.2 seconds of my life that I dated, I mostly thought I was "supposed" to just be attentive to the person who'd asked me out. Doing things I would have enjoyed seemed like it should have been a secondary priority. To his credit, though, I did go on at least three teenage dates with a guy who, all three times, found activities I enjoyed.

I think we all know I've got a bit of that going on myself. Mostly because I kind of grew up watching shows filled with characters who were a whole lot like the characters in these educational videos...
