i will have to go back this afternoon and gather all the commentary from the Lost Forum I'm on (roosterteeth.com - if you've never seen Red vs Blue, you should check it out, funny stuff)
anyway... apparently there are a couple of "translations" of the heiroglyphs going around (http://lost.cubit.net/pics/2x14/glyphs.jpg ) and out of curiosity i did some googling yesterday on it as well. All 4 glyphs are Egyptian, tho i can't find a "translation" or reference to the last one, the stick; just images of it.
did you catch the sounds of servos and clanging... like maybe the blast shields were preparing to drop? One of the guys in the Forum re-referenced the BF Skinner Experiment Angle, saying that the clanking and the flipping number tabs were negative reinforcement to further influence the desired response.
I think next week is a repeat... can't wait for 3/1 - Maternity Leave... some of the images from spoiler screencaps i've seen are just... creepy

I know I'm definitely of the opinion that the whole Swan station--if not the whole island at this point--is a Skinner experiment gone awry or taken to the nth degree. I'm waiting for another hunk of the orientation film to show up... or maybe a new message appearing on the computer after The Button almost wasn't pushed.
Yeah, next week is a repeat but the 3/1 episode looks like it's going to be great. Ah, who'm I kidding--all the episodes are great!
And, yeah, very familiar with Red v. Blue. Of course I'm beihind on watching the episodes by about a season now. Definitely funny (and creative) stuff. Never really browsed through the forums, though. Maybe I'll have to start. :)
i only watch maybe 4 of them... and the lost one is the only one i'm active on (tho the 80s cartoons and Best Martial Arts films) gets some spurts of traffic on occasion,
i haven't watched any of PANICS, and have dl'd but not watched any of Strangerhood... and i'm about 6 eps behind on RvB.
