So in the only DW fic I've managed to work on, I'm actually trying to be reasonably nice to Ten. The things he has done are not entirely his fault, even if he left the door wide open and begged evil to come in. I'm doing my best to leave some ambiguity.

This bit, however, might be a little mean.

I'm sorry about the continued ambiguous news on your grandfather. That's the most frustrating thing of all, not to know either way, I think. They probably aren't refusing to say as much as refusing to admit they don't know

Okay, I'm intrigued by the excerpt, though I'm still trying to figure out exactly what's going on!

Well, now they're saying they'll let him go home on Thursday. So, probably he'll be fine for a while. Healthwise, he bounces. And apparently he's still got some momentum.

Hopefully the story'd make more sense from the beginning. Basically, I saw a universe in which it would make immense sense that Ten had been possessed by the devil, and I grabbed it. ^^; I mean, even more sense than it makes in straight canon. ;) Also, it's been pointed out that the ending of JE technically only makes sense if either NotAClone,Honest!Ten is about to drop dead, or Donna was actually fine all along. I chose option 2.

Also, essentially it just makes it possible for me to fix everything. Ten wandering around unchecked? Not anymore. Donna stranded on Earth? Not for long. In the entire universe, there never was or will be another race sufficient to take on even a few of the Time Lords' duties? Yeah, sure. Take all that and chuck in magic and talking computers. I could hardly resist
