I hope the work stuff is resolved soon. It sounds very draining, especially since you're not allowed to talk about a lot of it.

Also, good luck with the dress hunt! May you find something that makes you look and feel as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside.

I am beginning to see why it is sometimes easier just to go traditional. Fewer stupid decisions. Oh yeah, but those strapless dresses with the meringue-like skirts look horrid on me. I must carry on!

Wedding-dress fashions were different when I was looking *gulp* 20 years ago, but I couldn't find anything that suited me. Everything was encrusted with sequins and beading--SO not me. I ended up getting mine made by a seamstress I knew--raw silk, a little lace, simple and elegant.

Oh, and on the bathroom thing--brightly colored towels and rugs will do a lot to warm up and personalize the room. And if it's just white & chrome, you can choose any color that appeals to you!

Tonight's trip was pretty fruitful, actually. The bridesmaid and MOB selections were much more likeable than the actual bridal gowns. I'm feeling more hopeful.

I wouldn't mind having something made, but I don't really know what I want. Lots of trying on is helping me narrow it down, but I haven't got a great vision. I also haven't got a seamstress. I'm still looking forward to the Filene's madness, though.

I think we'll get there on the bathroom. It's just hard for me to give up my 30-year collection of flamingo ephemera.

The Hello Kitty humidifier is wonderful. I wish they made a dehumidifer.

I'm not so sure that they don't. There are a whole lot of Hello Kitty appliances at the Sanrio page. I gave some friends a Hello Kitty toaster for their wedding a few years ago -- it burns a picture of Kitty's face on every slice!

I am glad that you finally have a new bathroom. I know how much that poorly "fixed" tile was killing you!

Let me know if I can do anything by way of stress relief. That's a lot you have going on, there.

Thanks, doll! It would be fun to get together -- just hanging with friends is a great stress reliever on its own.

In the meantime, I can luxuriate in a nice hot shower.

I got a package from you today! THANK YOU SO MUCH. I also can't wait to give the books to my mother (even though I'm a little tempted to keep them for myself) -- she'll love them. You're so kind to send them for me.
