I keep getting invited to "the Engineering Formal!!!!!" on Facebook. Do I want to go to "the Engineering Formal!!!!"? NO. And a major reason is their abuse of punctuation. Another reason is that I like very few people who are actually in engineering (shhhh, don't tell) and I really don't feel like sitting around listening to them drone on and on

Excessive punctuation has always driven me up a wall. And if there is anyone I would expect to wear their underpants on their head, it's the socially awkward engineers around here.

I think you should stay home and eat too much popcorn with your roommate and her boyfriend. cuz, come on, John Sheppard is much too hot to miss.

plus, if i can't dress up and go with you to this formal thing then you shouldn't have to go either.

Actually, technically you can come as my date!

But that's pointless because then both of us will be stuck with a bunch of holier-than-thou smart-ass engineers. Not to mention, we'd both miss John Sheppard's truly holy hotness.

You can pretend to be me and go! You can say I changed my hair and got plastic surgery for the rest. :)

but then i'd have to deal with some engineering people (person) who I do. Not. care for. you know who that it. so basically, i have no idea how to help you get out of it. See if i came with you, it would actually be fun, cuz we could sit there and make fun of all the dorky engineering people you don't like.
but i'd still have to deal with seeing the person i don't like (for lack of a better term that's nice to put on here) and her jack*** of a date.

Don't go! They'll force you to talk about physics, and then you'll reference fanfic and they'll look at you funny and you'll STILL end up missing SGA. Not worth it.

That's so true! And I didn't even think of it that way. *adds to long list hanging on wall - "Reasons NOT to go to the formal"*

Sadly, I do reference fanfic a lot in my daily life (ask loverieed) and no one gets it. It makes me miss you even more. I think "Juju would totally get that, I wish she were here," several times a day. :)

I miss you much as well.

My floormate and I talk fanfic pretty often, though normally it's "remember that one..." rather than referencing it in conversations.

Hope you have a great weekend, mine'll be full of suck. Mostly because i've been procrastinating all week. *sigh*
