I keep getting invited to "the Engineering Formal!!!!!" on Facebook. Do I want to go to "the Engineering Formal!!!!"? NO. And a major reason is their abuse of punctuation. Another reason is that I like very few people who are actually in engineering (shhhh, don't tell) and I really don't feel like sitting around listening to them drone on and on about how great they all are when I could be home watching Joe Flanigan shoot things and eating too much popcorn with my roommate and her boyfriend. Am I supposed to go to "the Engineering Formal!!!!!"? Yes, I'm part of the society that holds it. I'm the president of an engineering society. Does that mean I'm going to go? Who knows. I seriously don't want to, but if someone finds out that I haven't bought a ticket prior to them being sold out I may have to. Dammit. Friday nights are for lounging. Not stringing myself up in a seasonly inappropriate dress and shimmying in front the dean and make small talk with a bunch of people I don't really like.

Your fandom thought of the day: "Rodney, you've gone up against nanoviruses, a 10,000 year old super-Wraith and whatever terrors the Pegasus galaxy has thrown at us. How could you be afraid of my dad?" ~John (from The Bobby Newman Factor by

While I was writing this, I got another mailing list email inviting me to the stupid formal...now to go scrub out my inbox.
