I think it's mostly just character-building, but if there's something about it that's really bugging you I'd like to know. You're usually right about these things.
Zwitter's a very weird-looking character. When I just see illustrations of zir dancing around or posing with the crew, I don't get a sense of zir personality- I'm just like 'that is a demon wearing a tutu.'
So I like that I get a few paragraphs to get to know zir. Ze feels more like a fleshed-out character, now. And I heard once that companies pour bleach on their thrown-out food, because there have been people who sued the companies they dumpstered from, after they picked up and ate spoiled food. I don't know if that's true, it's just another theory I've heard.

And yea, I remember those days, although we used a cinderblock bookcase. <,< Rather than TV stand, I mean.
