Ooh. I do prefer the idea of Rose missing the life rather than pining over the Doctor - it's much more fitting - and you do it in such a beautiful way. I love the flowers being the colour in the dull universe, and the Alice in Wonderland theme to it all :o)

If I had been standing up, I would've done a happy little hop towards the end. That's one fairly obscure Old Skool reference you've got there! My favourite kind :oD I always think that Memento Mori are so beautifully tragic, being the flowers of remembrance :o) *holds out hand for cookie*

I'm sure there's a mention of it in the books somewhere, but I heard of it in the Eighth Doctor Audios - the Time Lords called the Doctor's companions memento mori, in that he kept them with him because they reminded him of mortality.
And yes, rather fitting - good use of your prompt :o)

well i loved it. very nice perspective for Rose. being alone with her thoughts and not being totally agnsty. more reflective and contemplative..

and this of course is all a reference to the 5th Doctor played by Peter Davison whom said "That like Alice I like to do 5 impossible things before breakfast."
