Were you actually surprised that he'd concentrate on songs from his new album? *g* I checked out the set list you linked and it looks like it was an even split between The Original High and other songs. I have a few favorites off the album, but so far I'm not in love with the whole thing. Which was the case with Trespassing, as well. I think FYE I liked most, if not all of the songs. I am thrilled, though, that he's singing Runnin' during this tour. It was a bonus on Trespassing, and I remember last tour when people asked about it he was like, bonus songs aren't usually sung on tour. And yet here he is singing it now. I think it means ~something.
FYE is absolutely my favourite, too, but Trespassing definitely grew on me. I was hoping the same might happen with The Original High, but alas. I didn't know that about bonus songs, seems like an odd exclusion to make. But yay for Runnin'! It's one of my favourites off Trespassing.
Runnin' was one of my faves, too! In fact, all three bonus songs made my top 5, which I thought was an oddity. There I Said It and Another Lonely Night are two of my faves on TOH. It works out that most of the odd numbered songs are my favorites, like 3, 5, 7, 9, 11.
