When it comes to being social, I tend to vacillate between "I hate people and things" and "I like doing things with people". Both are equally true, it just depends on what's happened before that

Yeah, I'm the same way. It's not that I don't have fun on these outings, I just don't handle the lack of quiet time very well.
The storm, thankfully, missed my half of the country and only wrecked havoc on southern Sweden, but I think it had slowed down some by then. I hope it stays calm now, I'm going on a cruise on Thursday. :)
Back in the day, I was really worried about moving in with my boyfriend. I loved spending time with him but the thought of having to be 'on' every moment of the day was really scary. It was a surprise how easily his presence fit into my quiet time. So far he's the only person in my life who's managed to do that, everyone else is enjoyable but exhausting in the long run.
The worst of the storm seemed to pass our corner of London. The wind made a lot of noise, howling and rattling the roof tiles, but there were no fallen trees, etc. Even our tube line was mostly unaffected, unlike most. Monday morning, some dozen people had managed to turn up to work, the other 40 or so were stranded working from home. I'm glad to hear that you were spared, it was some scary stuff. The BBC website had videos from Belgium where the winds were so strong that they were throwing people around on the streets.
