Surviving the First Night

So I've officially survived my first night at Oxford. Last night we went to our official dinner. We had to get all dressy and then go into this big official looking hall that had paintings of scholars in their regalia everywhere. When we go in, everyone has to remain standing. Then, the administrative staff comes in. They hit a gavel and say a

I think you are definately right about that one. They were really over doing it, and even ordered wine at dinner the night after. sheesh.
