Glam Me A Beer!

This weekend was kind of weird. After seeing Iron Man I didn't expect all that much to happen, but it did anyways. Saturday was uneventful for the most part...I just relaxed for most of the day. When it came time to run the session in ceg_lylat, apparently a huge storm broke over the entire South. I'm not sure if we had a tornado here or what, but ( Read more... )

I can't remember if I posted this before or not, but a huge particle experiment is getting ready to commence somewhere in Europe, and a scientist has sued the project over fears that it will destroy the world.

Whatever you do, don't cross the streams, it would be bad.

How humiliating. The people from Stryper got demoted to Boston.
The town lifted a ban on the Rolling Stones? What's next? San Antonio lifting its ban on Ozzie Osbourne?
I somehow doubt the mission data from the Columbia will yield much of anything groundbreaking. The most significant thing about that voyage was the disaster that followed it. They were probably only researching microbes and the effects of aging on the body and the way yeast particles grew in zero gravity.

Aside from how you personally feel about the bands, Boston has been around longer than Stryper, and has had more of an impact on the rock scene than Stryper ever did. I don't consider either group amongst my favorites, though I do like a few songs written by them. It's always interesting when you see something historical like this happening ( ... )

Thanks for the reply.
First of all, Ozzie is banned from San Antonio because he peed on the Alamo.
Thanks for the info about the shuttlecraft, by the way.

Oh yeah, the drunken peeing on the Alamo night. I do recall hearing about that now. Silly rock stars...

It costs a small fortune to send people in to space, and the equipment takes months of preparation to get ready for the trip (not to mention the astronauts themselves). They try to get as much done as they possibly can up there, even if it means running a lot of seemingly inconsequential experiments.
