Today's the first day of my "summer" vacation. Not much to say.

Downloaded City of Heroes. Couldn't complete registration, since I needed a card. It's the same dealy as WoW. "We'll let you get in, but unless if you promise to pay us something after you use the free trial, no dice." I figured as much. Need to see if I can get a ride and find some ( Read more... )

That's odd... normally they don't nag about that much.

Anyway, any of the stores that sell the CoH game should sell the timecards. They're the same as used for all other NCSoft MMO where you need to pay for.

Well, with World of Warcraft, they have all the timecards right out with the games. You can get them in Wal-Mart even. But I've never seen timecards for any other game. Until the signup screen meantioned it as a possibility for COH, I thought WoW was the only game that did that.

It's just annoying that you have to pay for your free trials nowadays. It never used to be like that. I just hope that the buddy code is still going to work, since I had to cut out in the middle of signing up because I didn't have a way to pay. :/
