*hugs* I'm glad you had a great time at FWA! Thank you so much for supporting my music. I really appreciate it.

Furry conventions definitely are a different experience... but for a lot of us, they become like second homes... I know when I first went to a con, I was weirded out and didn't think I was "furry" enough or whatever... then, slowly, I found out that furry is everything we make of it. :)

I hope to see you next year! =^_^=

Rofl. After two albums filled with furry related lyrics and however many years you've played live in your awesome fursuit, it's hard to fathom you ever being "not furry enough".

You're right though. Everything about the fandom is what you make of it, which makes furry one of the freest, most user friendly fandoms around. It's totally amorphous...there is no canon! So it can be anything to anyone.

It was weird, but personally, I revel in a bit of weirdness. I'm not the type to fursuit or wear tails about myself, but I definitely appreciate the desire to step outside of reality once in a while.

Furry conventions are surprisingly tame, given their "general" perceptions. Mebbe something about everyone (else) drawing porn makes the rest of it seem mellow in comparison?

So glad you came by and picked up a book. ^_^

I've been told by a greymuzzle that in the past one of the major furry cons (now no longer in operation) got taken over by a gay pride exhibitionist group, which led to wild partying, public fornication, and the ostracizing of the people who went there for the furry events. He told me that the media fallout of that takeover was what tarnished the fandom's name and colored the rest of the world's general perception of what goes on at furry events. That was back in the 80's.

Today though, it seems the community has largely moved away from that and become it's own thing again. So we're back to being just a collection of geeks gathering for an annual get-together.

Well, I've been saying for years, I have three cons, I consider my 'locked' cons, FWA, DragonCon and ConCarolinas (my home con). Of the three FWA edges out CC as the quiet one.

Tell me more about ConCarolinas. I've never heard of that one. If it's local I might be able to go to it!

Looks like you had some fun! In my time here I've been to a few anime conventions with my furre friends here in Columbus and we walk around (one of them has a suit.) I'm looking forward to Morphicon though! Only another month and a half ^.^

Yeah, conventions are a lot of fun. You never know who you'll run into, as evidenced by my bumping into 'Neer and some others. Fun times! I'm already missing the endless supply of free Monster drinks.

Hey, thanks for the kind words, and thanks for catching the concert! I hope you enjoy the CD's, maybe I'll see you again at FA:U or AC this year.

Hey, thanks for stopping by Hali. I do indeed enjoy your cd, and I've already been playing a few songs for people when I DJ on Second Life; getting your name and music out there for more folks to discover.

As for future conventions...it's doubtful I'll be able to go to any more this year except for local ones. Without any vacation time I can't do much in the way of travelling. I do hope to visit other conventions in the future though, so sooner or later we're bound to run into each other again!

Keep on rockin! And don't forget to ask graveyardgreg about his experience with Kickstarter.

The creativity is why I've stayed in this fandom for over 20 years. -:>

You know it! People like to generalize furs with negative stereotypes, but the one generalization that I've ever seen actually stick is that these people are all imaginative.
