Well, it took a while, but it has finally happened. I've run out of options. Today was the last day I had to work at the Vocational Rehab Workshop. Writing can be fun, but I've always stopped short of considering it for a career. It's very touch-and-go as to what works and what does not. Plus, I have no idea how to go about getting published, and probably don't have the money for it anyways (at least, as far as getting legal representatives and advertising goes). Self-publishing is an option, but I would need to get my works to spread beyond my immediate circle of friends.

They're a temp outsourcing agency, and have many options to work at home. I made it through the interview (they pay a bit more than the max unemployment rate of $7/hour), but their system assessment CD didn't like my Windows running in a "virtual emulator environment" (ie, on my Mac). It'll keep some money coming in for you.
Also check Indeed.com - it's a job board search engine, and I've found tons more postings thru them than just going through Monster or Career Builder, and Indeed'll help you find other speciality boards for specific fields. Try searching on Technical Support; folks tend to still be looking for tech helpdesk people.
For example, I found Dice.com through them, a board focusing on computer, IT, and Internet skills, and had several calls from recruiters withing a day of posting my resume up there.
