Wow, at least it died BEFORE you got to uni right? >.< Clearly there's something wrong with that laptop... or just that brand. xD;; Lacey changed her laptops a total of 3 times in the first month or two. But she has really bad luck with comps (and they were all hp anyways).
They prob will be wipe clean >.< But at least it isn't much?

Ew Windows 7. xD I'm sure it's not... TOO bad though. Less complains than Vista so far it seems (or I haven't been in the right places to hear about it).

Most people I ask, all have good opinions about Sony though. Plus you know me; I'm a bitch about quality (and aesthetics) so Sony was my best choice anyway. And yea, I'm glad this happened -before- uni.

Actually, Windows 7 has gotten REALLY good reviews so far. A lot of people who are trying to downloadable trial version adore it. That's what I'm hearing at least.

Yeah, Sony isn't bad, I strangely just don't like them. o.o; I don't know why.

Makes sense considering all the complaints I heard even when Vista was beta whereas Windows 7 has not gotten any bad hype lol You can tell me how it is, and I'll upgrade my yucky Vista to it if it's good ;)

<3 Chuck and Blair are totally heartbreaking right now though. There are the little scenes but they are 90% sad =( Georgina is going to take forever to show her crazy-ass.... like 20 episodes later >.> lol I'm at the whole start of Blair's de-throning and Serena becoming Queen. Oh and Jenny story launch as she becomes all designer rocker guru. It's SO weird when I see her give Vanessa advice on Nate when they know they are going to end up together -_-

btw, do you know how to get rid of the grey square LJ icons for the comments (e.g. "screen" "edit" and "delete")? I noticed you just had text on your layout and I've been hunting around lj comms to find out how to get it like that.

Oh noes! Already broken down?!?! I thought they were fairly reliable. Which model did you get? Hopefully it doesn't use that NVIDIA graphics card since it's known to cause some problems. At least Sony is offering to fix that for free unlike HP.

Yes, install Windows 7 once it arrives. It is way better than the crappy Vista OS. People using the trail versions of W7 are very happy with it so far, so that's definitely a good sign. That is until someone finds a flaw in it and decide to exploit it.

Macs would be so awesome! I spent an hour in that Apple store! Wish I could get one lol.

Z710, it's the newest one. It's supposed to be very reliable, had nice reviews. Currently I'm blaming Vista...

OMG... you got a Z series laptop lol. They're awfully pricey (I would rather get a Mac instead if I was paying that price). Not sure about the good reviews since the older models had some wiring issues and whatnot. I have a friend that owns one and it is extremely light and it does look very nice though. Well NVIDIA graphics card had an overheating problem that would kill whatever is on your screen. It was part of the mass recall earlier a week ago? Don't remember the exact date. I'm thinking of getting one of those portable P series laptops lol. It'll be easier to carry it around... I'll see.

I'm sure you can stick through 2 months, no need to downgrade and waste all that effort for such a short period of time. Yeah I have a friend that's also a tech buff and he's in love with w7 right now haha. Always nice to have techies around =P.

They are but I thought of it as a good investment. I hope it proves true, consider how many weeks I spent trying to decide on a laptop this year. I wanted a Mac but it's not recommended for QComm.

I only have only techie lol and he's in Mac! I always miss him wayyyy more when everything starts crashing on me. Not that I don't miss him before that...
