[ The shock doesn't really surprise him since he's pretty sure he just died in that godforsaken hospital room in order to save Dean's life, but it doesn't really sit well with him, either. Dean should be able to mask his emotions better than that, like any hunter should.

He gives a slight nod in greeting, though. ] How about you give me the short version, then? [ If this is hell, John's A) more than a little surprised and B) pissed off that Dean's still here. That yellow-eyed sonnuvabitch better not have gone back on his deal. ]
