Hi, all! This is the Live-Action Shrine Marathon. I've always found a discrepancy in that many people watch live-action, English-language TV and movies and participate in fan communities focused on writing fiction, commentaries, etc. Yet nearly all character shrines are dedicated to anime/ manga and video games.
TV and film characters are often written to be multi-layered and dynamic. There's also the appeal of the actors who portray them. The potential for in-depth, affectionate tributes is clear.
So, let's begin to embrace our on-screen heroes!
R U L E S
1. Just for amassment members. If you're reading this you probably are a member, go figure.
2. Select a character, pairing, or group of characters (within reason) from live-action, English-language TV or film. (That is, produced in the US, Canada, Britain, Australia, etc.) Actors and actresses are OK too.
3. Sign up using the form below, posted as a (screened) comment.
3. Create a new shrine over the time period given. There are no specific size or style requirements for the shrine, but no one-pagers. Try to make it "a good size" with an evocative design.
4. Please wait until the marathon is complete before plugging your shrine. All shrines will be featured in a "results post" with banners.
5. Your finished URL should be submitted via a specific community post that will appear close to the end date. (Don't worry, there will be an announcement.) Event link banners will be posted as well.
6. If you would like to withdraw before the end date, please contact me as a courtesy. Also feel free to send a message if you'd like to change your info, need to discuss something, etc. My email address is: inbrightestday@gmail.com
