I never thought that the first time I appeared in court would be in Taiwan. Mr. Liao, my old landlord, refuses to return my security deposit. He's always coming up with excuses, telling me when he'll be able to give me back how much, but when the time comes, he just recycles his steps and we go through the never-ending dance yet another time.

Any time people over here complain about how materialistic America is, I tell them about Taiwan.

Just a little bit though :-p
The problem with Taiwan is that being a gold digger is an accepted sin. Sure, it's not the best thing to be, but it's no big deal if you are. Women will actually sit in circles in public and brag about how much gold they've dug up. Sad.

Good thing Taiwanese women don't know how to be sexy (not in the American sense anyway), otherwise I just might be a man who's as faithful as his options! Not that I have anyone to be faithful to, so I suppose that shouldn't be reason enough to stop me. Ha ha.

If you read the entry for what it was and not for what you wanted it to be, you would have seen that I don't think every woman out there is trying to get a piece of me, but rather that I hate the women who are.
Now I'm not saying that all girls who take an interest in me are gold diggers. I realize that the M.D. degree and American citizenship carry some weight, significantly so in Taiwan, and I find nothing wrong in a girl liking these two qualities, but I hate people who like me for these two reasons alone; female or otherwise, young or old.In much the same way that beautiful women are annoyed by guys who only stare at their breasts, I'm put off by people who only like me for being a doctor ( ... )
