Seeing how the weather suddenly became so cold due to the heavy rain, not many people were coming to the hospital so I got the afternoon off. Now I'm at home in my sweats having clam chowder for lunch with the TV on in the background. Hahaha. Is it even logistically/scientifically possible to contract/develop pneumonia in only 24 hours as a kid? I haven't had peds in a few months and have already forgotten. Unless, of course, you mean, all the Taiwanese parents who think their kids have pneumonia even though they don't....

Sigh, why is everyone focusing on the pnuemonia? That is sooo not what this post is about :-P

But no, you're right, it usually takes about 2-3 days before kids develop pnuemonia. Most people won't know that though, and coupled with the need to see doctors for every freakin' little thing, and you've got millions of kids at the peds clinics the day after every major storm or whenever cold fronts come. I suppose it'll be good for business should I ever open an office of my own.
