Oh! I think I remember seeing The Woman Who Loved Sesshô-maru a while ago. It's a bit fuzzy in my memory, but I remember a bit about the battle at the end. Not really sure to think about it; if I remember correctly, it was one of those "Sesshô-maru-and-Inu-Yasha-are-fighting-this-ginormous-demon-so-we're-just-going-to-make-the-other-characters-just-stand-there-and-watch" sort of thing. But, darn, the symbolism with the flute was just so darn pretty. ;_;
I know for sure I haven't seen the second episode you were talking about, but it sounds like the sort of thing the dubbers are really going to screw up on fluffy. I happen to love Rin and have recently become a SessRin convert. I know you like that pairing, too; have you any fic suggestions for me?
My favorite filler episode has always been 135, though. Miroku-centric, a tad Red and White Priestesses-esque, but hilarous all the same. It's not everyday we see a drunk Inugumi.

As for Sess/Rin fic suggestions...I honestly can't think of anything off the top of my head. I actually don't read that many fanfics. And I haven't read many Sess/Rin fics. I think I kind of gave up on searching for them when all I could find was crap. There was actually one time I remember looking for SessRin fics, and every single one I read ended the same way--a very cliched kiss ending followed by happily ever after. I couldn't stand it. Most of the better platonic Sess + Rin ones (read: extra fluff-y, but decently written) are in my favs list at FF.net.
Jaken Falls Ill is another awesome anime only episode. It's Rin and Jaken centric with enough Sesshoumaru to consider it Rin-Jaken-Sesshoumaru. They're my favorite anime family.
Actually, Sara's death happened waay before Kagura's did in the manga. So, it seems the anime people and Takahashi were on the same page. My only problem with Sara was that she was far too Naraku like.
Also, was anyone else curious to hear what Sesshomaru's one true desire was, since it wasn't to own Tetsusaiga? I mean, I guess we're supposed to assume it's power or conquest, but I was thinking, what if it was just that he wanted his left arm back?I've thought of that actually. Really, I don't think he ever truly wanted Tessaiga, not as much as the fans or Inuyasha himself would want to believe. Even fairly early, he was willing to throw his "claim" away for the sword if Toutousai would just make him another. Heh. Heck, even Sesshoumaru himself admits he's not sure why he wants Tessaiga

I only watched Movie 3 twice (once in English and once in Japanese), but I didn't care for it much. Partly because Sesshomaru seemed out of character somehow? Don't ask me for examples, that's just the feeling I got at the time. Maybe if I saw the movie again I'd feel differently.
Sadly, I thought Inupapa's potential was wasted in the movie. Ya'know unless they were trying to prove he was a big ole hypocrite. Ranting about protecting stuff, then leaves his teenaged son--alone--in a blizard. Oh, and he was awful happy to mow down humans with Tessaiga. XD

Thanks for clarifying Sara's versus Kagura's deaths for me. That is so weird then how they were both happy just to see Sesshomaru at the end.
We all know why Sesshomaru wanted the Tetsusaiga--classic case of sword envy. ;)
