Stomach-roiling GoF anticipation

Nov 18, 2005 11:13

Seven hours 'til showtime. Eee.

Is anyone else like me--so worked up that now they don't want the film to be here this soon? That they want to wait a little longer so that it's not over with? I was like this for the Azkaban film and for both of the previous books.

Ohhhhh yeah. Imagine how it'll be for the next *ahem*last*ahem* book. Then we won't even have any more books to look forward to.

Felt that way like mad with the last book - *still* think I could've waited for it a few years longer, even though I loved it :). The films don't get me worked up as much, but I'm still wibbling because of - argh! - waiting til Monday night. Because there'll be Luscious! And the graveyard! And *wibble*!

I'm hiding from the film. I'm nervous that it's going to suck and I'm white-faced with terror at the thought of seeing the movie with 500 children. :>

(Elrond icon, yesss!) I take you dead seriously. I know what you mean. Maybe less kids this go-round because of the NC17 ra--er, the PG-13 rating? Heh, I really did type that! A girl can dream, can't she?

*licks the pretty hobbit boy*

I'd pay good money to see Lucius do something nasty with his cane and I think we both know what I mean. *waggles brows*

Come to think of it, I'm going to pay good money anyway. :>

I know EXACTLY what you mean!

I'm actually a little nervous about going to see it, what with all the squeeing going on already -- I'm afraid I won't like it, and that'll be proof that I'm just an alien pretending to be an HP fan. *Wibbles!*

HOLD MEEEEE!!!

*holds* It's gonna be good. I really do think it. I think it because there's just so much new stuff that will be there and will make us say, "Look! Look how they did THAT!"

(while we try not to yell, "More Snape! More Sirius, dammit!" Because, you know, there can never be enough Snape or Sirius.)

Because, you know, there can never be enough Snape or Sirius.

I second that emotion. And that's one of my favorite icons ever.

Looking forward to the movie, but not in the not-wanting-the-wait-to-be-over way. I do already feel that way about the seventh book in a big way, even though it's (hopefully) still years away.

Have a wonderful time at GoF!

You, too! And I'm torn between wanting the seventh book here so I can get the agony over with and start playing in a closed canon (if I'm still doin' it at that time) or wailing "Nooo, don't let it be over so soon!"

Yeah, I'm like that. I'm usually like that. I'm always dissapointed when the anticipation goes away, whether for Christmas, or birthdays, or just getting things in the mail. I love looking forward to something, and when it finally comes . . . it's not that *it* is bad or a let down (Well sometimes it is that too) but I just miss the excitment of waiting.

If you'd asked me in July I'd've said I was gonna die by the time November got here. Now I'm all, "Wait, wait, I'm not ready to have it over yet, wah!"
