As much as I love Doctor Who, I can't really see The Doctor versus the Daleks as a terribly interesting adverserarial erlationship. How do you have that, when half the relationship has bred any feeling but xenocidal hatred out of their genome, and can express their feelings for the Doctor only as "Ex-Ter-Min-ATE!"?

Dcotor/Master? Now there was an interesting relationship, at least with Delgado and Ainsley.

I was more in the mind of new school Who with the Doctor/Dalek thing, because they were responsible for the Time War that has really torn up the Ninth and Tenth Doctor. I almost went with the Master, but the Daleks are just more...well, they're just more fun. :)
