That one line was all I needed to figure out this fic would be great- and you didn't disappoint. ^_^
It told me that you have Tim's penchant for over-analysis, Alfred's dear perfection, and Dick's total dependance/heart-felt NEED for Bruce's approval wrapped up in one cute side-line.
And, you know, the rest of the fic was awesome, too!

I have this image of the Bat Family doing outdoorsy activities. It's a whole thing. I had to stop myself from writing it because I don't want to have to face the bizarrete of a Bat camp out. The smores alone would make my brain go ingo overload.

The car smells like Armor All, electronics and Mountain Fresh Febreeze. Alfred is addicted to the stuff and it gets everywhere. Tim wonders if the first punch Bruce lands every evening smells like a floral bouquet.

There were so many more important parts in this wonderful story, but. This made me smile. Because Alfred rocks.

I found this difficult to follow, but I'm interested in what you tried to do. Very nice. Bruce and Tim's relationship and Tim trying to place it in the context of the other Robins'.

Looking at what I said, I realize it kind of looks like tepid praise, which wasn't what I meant at all, sorry! I felt like this fic was too smart for me, but I could dimly perceive the edges of what you were doing, and liked it.

To be honest, there were lots of moments in it where I thought it was a little too oblique, but then I thought, "well, that's Batman for ya," and left it at that. The secret to all of this is that I'd written about another page that immediately follows the end, but I cut it off because I thought it got too explanatory. I dunno. Maybe if I drag it out I'll get more mileage out of UST. In truth, I'm not sure where I was going, and that's because I'm still not sure how to perceive Tim and Bruce's relationship. Must read more smut first.
