I've finished reading Feelings Buried Alive Never Die by Karol Truman and at the end she's got a long list - Probable Feelings Causing Illness.  I'm trying to digest what she says about MS.  Some rings very true, other parts not so much.  But maybe there are parts of me that shame me so that I don't want to look at them?  Also, this is a disesase ( Read more... )

We went to the Opera last night, and saw Verdi's Don Carlo. Magnificent. Absolutely fantastic. Great scenography, full choir, full orchestra (like six double basses), and world class singers. But in a very good way.  I went plant shopping today - there is a lovely perennial nursery about 40 min from here, and I filled the car.  A Berlingo, with the back seat down, so I had about 2 sqm of horizontal space.  And I stuffed it as much as possible.  Haven't counted, but I must've brought home at least 60 pots (will count tomorrow, because ( Read more... )

Pardon my French, but...  Merde!  Our bloody roof is leaking.  Thankfully just the roof over the bathroom, but still...  *grumbles*  And of course, the downpour is continuing, which means the roof is more than slightly slippery and no fun to walk on.  Still, we managed to get a tarp to cover the most probable source for the leak.  Meh.
