1. On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate this round overall ( ... )

re:5 - I meant how many challenges a round should run for ;)

re:6 - In quite a few rumbles, it's just the set amount of points but I never really liked that system (if you take a peek at the spreadsheet here you might get a better idea of the points system). At the moment I'm just count up the votes (3,2,1 for positives and -1 for negatives) and if the total is negative in put it into the spreadsheet as 0. AND IDK EITHER. which is why I'm asking orz

re:7 - it might encourage participation a little more? Or at least I hope it would. But just, any general complaints about the points system? C:

re:8 - Sorry to hear that bb, my muse is a little of a whimsical thing to so I definitely understand the feeling <3

re:10 - I had a lot of fun watching as all the pretties came in! And thank you for participating ♥♥

DOH. Sorry, UGH afterwork!brain is fried D: As for my proper answer then...I think it does depend on the number of participants, and how many points are going into the final tally. For the number of participants, I think at the latter part of this round there's lesser participants which make it harder to keep going, so if that is the norm it's usually best to keep it relatively short. For the points, I did look at the beginning and assumed positives they were going into the final tally, but I'd lost the link and wasn't 100% sure anymore. I'm actually quite torn. The thing is, it's so much harder to get motivated to continue doing the rumble, in general, if you see someone with a crazy amount of points and you're in like the low 10s or 20s. Not everyone will want to continue regardless of it they have a chance to place in the end--I would venture to say that for most people, it's discouraging to see someone with 30+ while you're inching along at 5+ or something. It's also very, very dependent on the popularity of a given round's voting ( ... )

Hmm that's a really good point but I still like to count the positive votes into the tally because otherwise, the only way you could earn points is through winning challenges which also ends up messing with things (i.e. rumblr at the moment where only 2/3 people are winning the challenges each week and they're miles ahead of everyone else. I sound bitter. I'm probably bitter). I also like that someone may be able to be the overall winner without actually winning only individual challenges (no matter how slim the chances may be ( ... )

1. On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate this round overall?
9.5 C:

2. Which challenge was your favourite challenge?
Either New York or Paris! I don't know, they were both awesome and I loved them <3 I really love playing with lighting and painting, so they were both quite enjoyable for me. In the end I didn't use painting, but I did experiment with it a lot for the Paris challenge ( ... )

There's going to be some mini rounds between this round and round 2 so keep an eye out for them C:

1. On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate this round overall?
9. :D

2. Which challenge was your favourite challenge?
Hmm, New York was lovely, and Tokyo was very inspirational.

3. Which challenge was your least favourite challenge?
They were all great, I just personally didn't favor the Paris 'painted' one because I totally sucked at it, haha.

4. What could be improved about the challenge/inspiration posts themselves?
Nothing, I think your posts were very creative and extremely well put together.

5. How long should each round go for (in terms of the number of challenges)?
I suppose it depends on the number of participants? 10 is quite nice though.

6. At the moment, we have a rather convoluted voting system. Do you think there should be negative points in voting? If so, should these negative points count toward your final score (at the moment, they do not)?I don't think we should lose points overall just because we had one bad icon. Afterall, what about the people who skipped that particular challenge? I think the point ( ... )

Thanks for the feedback!
At the moment, entering an icon is worth one points, do you think that it is enough? Or should it be worth more?

I hope to see you around (in the upcoming mini-round perhaps) in future C:

1. 9.9999999... etc. it was basically perfect seriously

2. I loved so many of them, but Hong Kong was probably my absolute fave.

3. Probably Paris, just because I sucked at the arty theme (how am I unable to use frame textures properly I don't understand why they always suck when I use them) and I really love using text.

4. I think they're perfect tbh ♥

5. In my opinion 4-6 is good

6. I think that the voting is fine as it is.

7. I think that the current submission points are fine. There's a chance that people might try to submit more if there's more of a point difference between submitting and not submitting but then I don't know.

8. I would be fine with it any time, although obviously I'd love to see another round soon as long as you're not too busy. :)

9. I would totally be interested in that yes

Thank you for your feedback!

I'd consider adjusting the number of favourites and least favourites (and how it would affect the points system) - it's a great idea C: uhhh also secret about bonus icon was that I completely forgot about it in the voting post at first.

Tbh, I think the 2nd round is going to be in January but we'll have some mini-rounds in between so I'll hope to see you then C:

You're welcome!

I think the number of least favourites was pretty good, honestly. Like if we had 15 icons, I think 4 favourites and 3 least favourites would be good. 3 favourites/2 least favourites was pretty good for the remaining rounds, but the last round was really tough cause all the icons were great and I had to pick two least favourites. :C
Shhhh it's ok! More than anything, negative votes mean more work for you. I like bonus icons being "safe" though, since I'm more likely to go out of my comfort zone on them. Do others feel the same, I wonder? That sounds like fun! I like the idea of a mini round with multiple icons entered! 5 would be a great number! Would there be voting or would it be for fun? The multi-maker community I'm in kind of died so I'd be really happy with something like that that was accessible to all makers. I don't really like the idea of "elite" comms. (Er, am I right in assuming that the mini-rounds would be kind of like what they do at comms like that? Where you get a theme, crap out a few icons and then ( ... )

Uhh I don't think there'll be voting because I'm lazy and they'll probably just be showcased. I'm not a huge fan of 'elite' comms either mostly because I'm nowhere near elite. I sound bitter again orz (And yup, that'll pretty much be how it works C: )
