I can't for the life of me get the polls to work for me, so it'll be great if everyone could answer in the comments thanks C: Also new layout! :D ( Read more... )
I'd consider adjusting the number of favourites and least favourites (and how it would affect the points system) - it's a great idea C: uhhh also secret about bonus icon was that I completely forgot about it in the voting post at first.
Tbh, I think the 2nd round is going to be in January but we'll have some mini-rounds in between so I'll hope to see you then C:
I think the number of least favourites was pretty good, honestly. Like if we had 15 icons, I think 4 favourites and 3 least favourites would be good. 3 favourites/2 least favourites was pretty good for the remaining rounds, but the last round was really tough cause all the icons were great and I had to pick two least favourites. :C Shhhh it's ok! More than anything, negative votes mean more work for you. I like bonus icons being "safe" though, since I'm more likely to go out of my comfort zone on them. Do others feel the same, I wonder? That sounds like fun! I like the idea of a mini round with multiple icons entered! 5 would be a great number! Would there be voting or would it be for fun? The multi-maker community I'm in kind of died so I'd be really happy with something like that that was accessible to all makers. I don't really like the idea of "elite" comms. (Er, am I right in assuming that the mini-rounds would be kind of like what they do at comms like that? Where you get a theme, crap out a few icons and then
( ... )
Uhh I don't think there'll be voting because I'm lazy and they'll probably just be showcased. I'm not a huge fan of 'elite' comms either mostly because I'm nowhere near elite. I sound bitter again orz (And yup, that'll pretty much be how it works C: )
Lmao it's ok! I got like 3 elite comm invitations last week and I am like... "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU I'M NOT ELITE??? I DON'T WANT TO JOIN? WHO IS INVITING ME? WHY?" I am mildly curious as to what goes on in them, but I really don't even like the idea of them so I don't really see a point in joining them. Especially when I think that many of the members are not "elite". "Elite" is such a subjective term and it's such a stupid idea to have an elite community based on a few mod's decisions. If anything, I feel that people should be invited/allowed to join by popular vote of the community. So I am just kind of like... "Oh, ok. That's nice. I'll just let these invites sit and fester in my inbox." (sounds good!)
