niraj, i have to say this is one of the top forums you have written. i really enjoyed reading this one, and it truly made me think. You make extremely great points when saying that yes it is nice to think of others, but you can not forget about yourself. This coming from a person who thinks of others way before herself(me). i am realizing that i do have to start to think of myself, and how i can be happy... whether it is something or someone that will make me that happy person.... congratulations on a fantastic entry...

I say that selfishness/selflessness is a case by case situation. You know, you can be there for others and make them happy, w/o thinking of yourself. It may hurt sometimes… the demons get closer and the pain gets greater if the person you do this for doesn’t always know it and appreciate it… but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I think I’ve given my whole heart and soul to this girl, and am always trying to do what’s best for her… which often isn’t what I want. So things just go on… it’s a question in the end how much that person matters to you, and if you can bear losing them.
